Congress Gets an American President -- For a Day

It was fitting that Barack Obama was out of the country on the day when a leader walked into a joint session of Congress and spoke the way an American President should.

 Benjamin Netanyahu's speech extolled America and the ideals for which it stands. The enthusiasm of the members of both the House and Senate was born not only of their admiration and love for the State of Israel, but also because a man of stature stood before them and announced something they haven't heard during the last two years, namely, that America represents the best the world has ever seen. Unlike President Obama, who has reminded us that American values may not be suitable for most countries, Mr. Netanyahu spoke of his pride that his country, Israel, mirrors the idealism and nobility of America. Contrary to Barack Obama, Netanyahu believes in American exceptionalism.

 Having actually been in the House Chamber to witness the event, I was able to see a panorama that one doesn't see on television.  The thrill and excitement on the faces, in the applause, in the thirty standing ovations, was internalized by all those who had the privilege of being an immediate participant in this historic moment. They loved the Prime Minister and they loved his speech because he showed his love for America.

 When speaking of justice and liberty, Netanyahu spoke about them as enduring principles of the American personality, as opposed to the current President who speaks of them in terms of class warfare, not to mention an America at fault for those within our country he claims have not yet received justice or liberty. He spoke with awe when referring to our Founders and their inscriptions on the monuments that line the Potomac, America's River Jordan.  There was nothing in his remarks, unlike the President, that appeared ambivalent about these great men.   For Mr. Netanyahu and the members of Congress who rapturously drank in his words of praise about America, it was a refreshing moment.

 When speaking of the narrative of his country, Israel, he found no better model than that of America's own narrative. They cheered because, on that spot, where Presidents normally deliver an annual message to our citizens, stood a man who they knew revered what they revere and finds precious what is precious in the hearts of the countrymen whom they represent.

 He spoke truth and he spoke as a statesman -- as a leader. Finally, the people's representatives heard a leader casting Iran as the foremost threat to civilization. He spoke of a world divided between liberty and tyranny.  The public has starved over the last two years for words of moral clarity. What it has received, instead, has been diplomatic, U.N.-type language that speaks about Iran as if it is but a problem in need of a solution, as opposed to the cataclysmic and moral challenge that it really is. Mr. Netanyahu speaks of ultimate victory, intoning a self-confident righteousness in our cause, whereas Mr. Obama uses the standard, lipid political jargon characteristic of bureaucrats dealing with problems of "de-stabilization".

 Instead of a president continually dodging the ideological threat that is Islam and, worse, denying the danger it poses, Mr. Netanyahu spoke forthrightly about the worldwide threat of extreme Islam.  He did not speak like a community organizer, nor did he speak as one whose priority is to protect particular constituencies or befriend him to diplomats who populate the United Nations. Unlike the present occupant of the White House, Mr. Netanyahu spoke as a world-class statesman, at times Reagan-esque, and even Churchill-ian.

 I saw the faces, the body language, the enthusiasm, the immediacy on each of those filling the seats of august ancestors. Remember, a man such as Eric Cantor, for example, does not simply represent Culpepper, Virginia, but is heir to the seat of James Madison himself. And so it is with so many of our current representatives who are scions of great predecessors. For one hour on May, 24, 2011, our representatives, most of whom see themselves first as Americans, were allowed to imbibe feelings of America's majesty. Finally, the joint session of Congress was not victim of chastisement from a haughty overseer, but a recipient of sweet and reinforcing acknowledgment of our country's greatness. Today, no Supreme Court Justice was reviled, instead the justice of America was extolled. 

It was evident from Mr. Netanyahu that not only does he love America, but also loves Americans.  Over the last two years, the America people have heard how they "cling to their religion and their guns."  They have been forced to listen how their police, such as in Cambridge, are "stupid."  They have been humiliated by a man who has gone across the world apologizing for America and its precipitation of so many of the world's ills. They have heard their own president characterize this nation as "sometimes arrogant".  Perhaps, worst of all, they have had to endure a nauseating rewriting of their own history and sacrifice by a President who errantly speaks of the great contributions that Islam made from early on in our history in the development of this country. Today Mr. Netanyahu came in front of the entire Congress of the United States "not to bury her, but to praise her." It was as if for one day we had an American President again.

When will the public indignation start over the blatant hypocrisy of the Democrats and their sycophant's in the Main Stream Media? They are not only hypocritical when it comes to gas prices, but just about everything they comment on. There are volumes of film clips exposing the lies spoken by our elected Democrat officials and the media. It's not difficult to view their original words spoken when Bush was President and then fast forward to the Obama "age of lies" and see them say the exact opposite - That my friends are nothing but bald-faced lies.

Obama's natural language consists of lies sprinkled with tiny bits of truth. I'm of the opinion he doesn't even realize he's doing it because it's become so natural for him.

Herman Cain – Should have been the 1st Black President

Isn't it amazing how the people prefer to believe a liar like Obama. I'm beginning to think that he is incapable of telling the truth and if he does, you can't recognize it.

Executive Order ID10T

President Obama has signed Executive Order ID10T stating that all auto insurance companies cannot refuse anyone who applies for auto insurance regardless of pre-existing conditions. A customer will be allowed to (1) have an accident; (2) immediately dial the insurance carrier of their choice and obtain maximum comp and collision; and (3) once settled, cancel their insurance until their next accident.

It's possible isn't it?

Congressional Democrats

An old sheep herder in Wyoming observed the behavior of wild animals in the winter. He said, "Packs of wolves would sweep into the valley and attack the bands of wild horses. The horses would form a circle with their heads at the center of the circle and kick out at the wolves, driving them away. But when the wolves attacked a band of wild donkeys, these animals also formed a circle, but they formed it with their heads out toward the wolves. When they began to kick, they ended up kicking one another.

The Democrats in Congress are like the wild donkeys in the story above. In spite of the fact that their constituents are overwhelmingly against the heath care bill that recently passed the house, they go ahead and vote contrary to that wish. Let's not be fooled that this is about health care. This is about power, control and the re-distribution of wealth.

The Democrats have demonized the insurance companies as if they are the cause of all our problems. An industry that has maybe a 3 or 4% profit margin. When you go into the hospital, who does the hospital, specialists, and doctors send their bills to? Your insurance company gets the bill if you have it, if not, it's sent to you. Who determines what they charge and place on that bill? Forget that the insurance company and the hospital may have negotiated prices that is satisfactory to both sides. You have to ask, who sets the prices? Not the health insurance companies. It's the providers of the service. What are their profit margins? They're a lot higher than those of the insurance companies. So I ask, where's the cost control?

This bill is only demonizing an industry because it's a tactic that the Democrats always use when they want to use other people's money to pay for something. Create a crisis, parade the victims, demonize and separate. Aren't you sick of it yet?

When will the blame be placed on the people? Most people want to pay $1.00 of insurance premiums and received $500.00 worth of healthcare services. When families budget, guess where health insurance/medical costs are on the list. Pretty much last on the list after luxuries like big screen tvs, $150.00 tennis shoes, cell phones and their monthly charges, ipods, jewelry, and for some, maybe paying a bit on their charge cards. Of course they don't want to pay for health care, that doesn't satisfy their lust of the pleasures of life.

What are some of the rarest things in our American society?

Chipping away at the Constitution

   How do you destroy the Constitution? One small piece at a time. One of the most obvious and easiest facts to verify –
   

   No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
   

   But all everyone wants to do is label those who want that easily verifiable information proven are called "birthers" and other names to marginalize them.
   

   Now everyone is surprised that the liberals are still chipping away at the Constitution. Enforce the small things and the rest will get taken care of.
   

   Even stalwart Glen Beck admits he's never looked into it but dismisses it as a waste of time. Maybe if he's hasn't even looked into the issue, he shouldn't comment on it.
   

   I can prove where I was born and have had to on a number of occasions.
   

   This may be the one key to getting Obama out of the White House. If he produces a valid birth certificate verifying the location of his birth (not a long form that can be issued to anyone), then no harm, no foul.
   

   I'd be happy if he'd prove he's a real genius like everyone claims if he'd produce his college transcripts like other candidates and Presidents.

Conspirist to question Obama?

For those out there who feel it's only a conspiracy theorist who would question Obama's costly efforts at keeping his past a secret - not just his birth certificate, but also his college records, passport data, or anything else that might shed some light on who this man is, I offer the following:

As to his birth certificate, ok, I'll give him that. Maybe that's too personal of a document to make public regardless of the fact that millions of Americans have had to produce that same document to the various government and non-government agencies in the past. And let's not forget that John McCain produced his when asked.

As to his college records, I'd refer you to the Bush-Kerry Presidential election where Kerry supporters were casting aspersions as to Bush's lack of intellect. The Boston Globe ran an article detailing both candidates' academic achievements. So, there has been precedent in disclosing college records on various presidential candidates.

Then there is the passport data. Obama went to Pakistan in the early 80s. I don't believe Americans were allowed to travel to Pakistan during this timeframe - at least with an American passport. How did Obama get around this? Was he using an Indonesian passport? Did he have an Indonesian PP because he was a dual citizen? Or if he wasn't a dual citizen, did he lie to get into college and obtain grants to pay for his schooling based on his being a foreign student? This question would be answered if his passport data were released.

 

Ted Kennedy – “The Lyin’ of the Senate”

I didn't know Ted Kennedy even remotely - only what I read or saw on tv. He may have been the outgoing, back slapping, jovial, fun loving man many make him out to be. He may even have been as spiritual and God fearing as others make him out to be. Only God knows his heart.

What I do know though does not conjure up images of respect, honesty, benevolence, charity, love, sound character, soberness or integrity. His was a legacy of cheating, involvement in the death of a young woman under suspect circumstances, a culture of death in his promotion of abortion, his advancement of an abominable life-style (both of which are contrary to his supposed spirituality and his Church's teachings), unleashing a flood of illegal immigration upon this country, the waste of untold tax dollars on pork projects for his home state, and other sundry efforts while a US Senator. His title should have been "The Lyin' of the Senate".

The life he lived isn't worthy of being memorialized let alone recommending it be emulated by those coming after.

No, I don't mourn his loss. He met the same fate all of us will meet and thus, deserves no special acclamation or current legislation being foisted upon us passed in his honor.

May his soul be at rest in heaven because if it isn't, he's got the memories of forty million plus innocents that have had their lives snuffed out due in part to his efforts in the Senate and the face of Mary Jo Kopechne reminding him eternally of his deeds while on this earth.

It's not about health care. It's about power and control. Obamacare is nothing more than a subtle way of infringing into the private lives of all U.S. Citizens - a goal he has stated by innuendo, his writings, his statements, and the people he associates with.

Like a frog in a pot of water, it never knows what hit him when the heat is turned up.

There are those who have gone down this socialistic path before - Canada and the UK come to mind. The people there shout "Don't go there. We've tried it and it doesn't work."

The government can't run the postal service, medicare, medicaid, Veteran's health care, and more recently, the "Cash for Clunkers" program. What makes anyone think they will do any better with healthcare?

Take a look at two Hawaiian birth certificates from the early 60s.

The first is the Certification of Live Birth which Obama posted on the web (suspected counterfeit). A form Hawaii provided even for children not actually born in Hawaii).

This is a sample of the long form certificate from the same timeframe. Note the additional information:
